JOAN BALASIW GALLARDO, 27-year-old, married to 30 year old and they were blessed with a 3 year old daughter. A resident of Sta. Lucia, Ilocos Sur. She is the 4th child among 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Her 50 year-old Mother is a housewife while her Father has passed away.
She accomplished her secondary education at San Emilio Academy in year 2013. Then she pursued her college education and took up Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management at Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College graduated in year 2017.
She had a non-domestic work such as being a housekeeping attendant and food server for in Hometel for 3 years.
She also had her domestic worker employment experienced in the Philippines as follow;
1. PHILIPPINES ( 2011 - 2013), served a Filipino family living in a 5-bedroom 2 storey house with a couple and 2 children ages 4 and 7 years old. She worked as an all around housemaid doing all general household chores and cared for the children. She served the family for 2 years.
2. PHILIPPINES ( 2013 - 2015), served a Filipino family living in a 3-bedroom 2 storey house with 2 adult and an 87 year old female elder. Her main priority was to attend to the needs of the elder and at the same time she does the house. She served the family for 2 years.
Being a mother, she is confident in performing basic infant to child care duties like bathing, sterilizing utensils, preparing baby's food, feeding, changing of diaper, knows how to check body temperature and playing with the children.
She is keen to look after elderly person and willing to be trained in giving direct nursing care.
She has knowledge in cooking Filipino dishes such as adobo, tinola, sinigang, sarciado fish, ginataang fish and a lot more. She can also follow recipe book and she is eager to learn other foreign dishes.
Aside from these, she is also willing to do basic gardening, pet care and car washing if necessary.
After selection, FDW will undergo 3 weeks In-House- Private Training in Manila (Accredited by TESDA), OWWA seminar and other documentation as required by Philippines Overseas Employment Administration for the deployment of the OFW.
