MARYJEAN SOLCORITES SARMIENTO, is 40-year-old, married to a 46-year-old, legislative researcher, and they were blessed to have 3 children ages 17,14 and 7. A resident of Tantangan, South Cotabato. She is the eldest child among 1 brother and 2 sisters. Her 63-year-old father is a farmer and her 63-year-old mother is a housewife.
She completed her secondary education at Libertad National High School in 2002. Then she took up a 2-year course in Computer Technology but was unable to complete the course due to the family’s financial difficulties.
She had a non-domestic work experience as a sales clerk/cashier in a Department Store from December 2003 – August 2007.
Currently, she is working as a cashier in a cooperative since June 2024 while waiting for her application in Singapore to be selected.
She had her domestic work employment experiences abroad, as follows.
1. PHILIPPINES (2002-2003), she worked for a Relative’s family living in a 1-bedroom apartment with a couple and a 3-year-old child. During her employment, she was allowed to pursue her college education and at the same time work for the family. She cared for the child and also helped with doing house chores in her free time.
2. PHILIPPINES (2021-2022) She was hired by another Filipino family living in a 4-bedroom bungalow house with a couple and a newborn baby. Her priority was to look after the needs and welfare of the baby and only perform house chores if the parents were home.
3. KUWAIT (Feb 2023 – Sep 2023) She was selected to serve a Kuwaiti family living in a 5-bedroom 4-storey house with a basement, with an elderly female age 72 with diabetes and her daughter. She worked as an all-around helper, doing all general household chores, including keeping the house clean, doing the laundry, and basic cooking and other tasks that her employer instructed her to do.
This applicant is confident to look after young children as she is confident in performing it’s basic duties such as preparing meals, feeding, bathing, changing clothes, and including educational activities and supervision. Aside from her experience, she also cared for her children.

She is confident in preparing Filipino dishes and has also learned basic Arab dishes and is still willing to learn more other foreign cuisines if given the opportunity.
She is also keen to look after elderly people , and willing to undergo training if necessary.
Aside from these, she is willing to do gardening, pet care, and car washing, if needed.
This applicant can be deployed sooner as she is exempted from the training seminar, and she only needs to comply with other documentation as required by the Philippines Overseas Employment Administration for the deployment of OFW.
