SHERYL ALBINO BAY-AN, 31 year old, single with a common law partner and they were blessed to have 3 children ages 14,12 and 2. A resident of Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya. She is the 8th child amongst 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Her 72 year old Mother is a housewife while her Father has passed away.
She finished her secondary education at Binalian Integrated School year 2008. Then she took up a 2 year course in Nursing Assistant at Advocates Academic College graduated in 2011.
She previously worked as a nursing aid for 1 year.
Currently, she is working as an Administrative Assistant in the Barangay since 2021 while she is waiting for her application to be selected.
She had her maid employment experiences, as follow:
1. PHILIPPINES (2004 - 2008), she served a Filipino family living in 4 bedroom 2 storey house with a 64 year old elder, 2 adult and 2 children ages 7 year old and 4 month old baby. She is working student at the same time she doing household chores such as cleaning, washing and pressing clothes, washing dishes and other house errands as instructed by her employer and other family members. She is also taking care of the children every weekend. She served the family for 4 years.
2. PHILIPPINES (2010 -2012), she served a Filipino Relative living in 2 bedroom bungalow with 2 adult and a 3 month old baby. She worked as an all-around housemaid doing household chores such as maintaining the cleanliness of the house, do laundry and ironing, cooking, washing dishes and taking care of the baby. She served her relative for 2 years.
3. PHILIPPINES (2014 -2017), served a Filipino family living in a 5 bedroom 2 storey house with a couple and an elderly couple ages 68's year old and a 9 year old child. Her employer hired 2 maids and her main duty was to look after the 68 year old female elder with diabetes and hypertension. She attends to the everyday needs to the elder and she was also assigned in cooking and other house errands as instructed by her employer and other family members. She served the family for 3 years.
4. SINGAPORE (Dec 2017 – Aug 2020) – she was selected to serve a Chinese family living in a 2 story landed property with 2 adult and a 92 year old female elder with special needs. Her main duty was to look after the needs of the elder and she also performs general household duties. She finished her contract and served the family for 2 years and 8 months.
With her experiences, she is expected to be well-versed in performing general household duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of the house, doing the laundry, pressing clothes, marketing, cooking and washing the dishes.
Being a mother of 2, she is confident of taking care of young children and capable in performing child care duties such as feeding, bathing, preparing their school things, playing with the children, giving assistance for their homework and studies and bringing and fetching them to the school.
She had experience taking care of her 64 year old grandmother who is bedridden. She is responsible in feeding, bed bathing, changing clothes and diapers. She is open with the opportunity in looking after elderly person and prepared to be trained in the giving them direct nursing care and supervising their other needs.
She is enthusiastic to learn more especially in cooking other foreign cuisine. She knows how to prepare and cook Filipino dishes like adobo, tinolang manok, kare-kare, tokwatbaboy, stir fry veggies and a lot more. She also learned to cook simple Chinese dishes such as ABC Soup, steam fish, stir fry veggies, chicken rice and nasi lemak. And she is enthusiastic to learn more especially in cooking other foreign cuisine.
Aside from these duties, she can also give care for pets. She is willing to do basic gardening and car washing as well.
