GLENA BENICO AREVALO, is 35 year old, widow and a mother of 4 children ages 15, 14, 12 and 5 year old. A resident of Camarines Sur. Her 61 year old Father works as a security guard at a public market and her Mother is a simple housekeeper. She is the 5th child among 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
She accomplished her secondary education at La Purisima National High School in year 2003. She experienced to work as sales lady for 2 years then focused herself in looking after her children.
Though no formal experience in being a housemaid, as she is the eldest child she was raised and trained by her parent's to do household chores such as cleaning the house, doing the laundry and pressing clothes, marketing, cooking and washing the dishes.
Being a mother of 4, she is confident in performing basic childcare duties like bathing, preparing food, feeding, changing of diaper, knows how to check body temperature.
She is also keen to look after elderly person and willing to be trained in giving them direct nursing care.
She has knowledge in cooking Filipino dishes such as adobo, menudo, chicken curry, chopsuey, igado and a lot more and she is eager to learn other foreign dishes.
Aside from these, she is also willing to do basic gardening, petcare and car washing if necessary.
After selection, FDW will undergo 3 weeks In-House- Private Training in Manila (Accredited by TESDA) , OWWA seminar and other documentation as required by Philipine Overseas Employment Administration for the deployment of the OFW.
